
Moses Hess and The Link Between Bolshevism and Zionism

Into The Depths
“Through deception thou shalt wage war.”
-Main philosophical sentiment hanging over the entrance to the Israeli Mossad Headquarters.
“The Jews, in the natural history of the social animal world, had the world-historic mission to bring out the predator in mankind.”

There is a third version of Zionism lurking around out there that is even more problematic, dark, sinister and hidden yet. This would be an occultic version not satisfied with the Abrahamic promises, but a plan for little Israel to engineer, through stealth and deceit, a place of undisputed pre-eminence over all the other nations. It would be a plan to “eliminate idolatry” amongst the subjugated Gentiles (i.e., the worship of Christ or any other deity) through the Noahide laws for “righteous (i.e., unbelieving) Gentiles” to submit to.
This would involve a strategy of worldwide hegemony through financial and information control, a dominant influence within politics (American especially), plus an endless faith in their own ability to deceive, manipulate and intimidate the entire world. Part of this manipulation would include getting the Christians and Muslims to destroy one another as was said in the introduction of this chapter, leaving Israel alone left standing over a decimated world order.
It is a plan that also involves the hidden control of Israel by the banking House of Rothschild, and perhaps an attempt to put a uniquely Jewish supremacist stamp on the Illuminati agenda. That the prophecies foretell the ultimate folly of such a reckless, high-handed ambition should only make sense to you. That it represents a massive threat, not just to Christians or the rest of humanity, but to the Jewish people as well, is a more subtle implication that needs to be explained.
Much of this vision seemed to have originated with a 19th Century mastermind and yet another member of our pantheon of evil geniuses, Moses Hess (1812-1875), whose thinking envisioned bringing the secular Jew of his day back under the control of regressive medieval rabbinism and occultism as Dr. Israel Shahak warned, while moving the goyim toward global atheism. The first succeeded through the Zionist movement and the re-birth of Israel in 1948 while the second failed with the end of the Cold War.
The unabashed goal of the latter was to steal the property of the Gentiles and smash their religious and cultural heritages into oblivion. But what Communism couldn’t do, the financialization and privatization of all things since 1990 is accomplishing just as effectively.
And make no mistake, it’s a shift that is no accident. In fact, you could even argue that its starting point was the rise of the right wing Likud party to power in Israel in 1977. Ever since then we’ve seen the destruction of the New Deal, this trend towards supply-side “Reaganomics,” and the vast redistribution of wealth upward into the hands of the top 1%.
Yet Another Inventor of Evil
In any other context, a man of Hess’s intellect would have naturally joined the ranks of the burgeoning secular Jewish Enlightenment centered in Germany. Yet as it was, he gave himself to a hypocritical fool’s errand as Michael Hoffman explains:
“[Hess] was an unabashed, fanatical proponent of the Talmud…[ he] did not personally practice Judaism. Neither does Harvard Law Prof. Alan Dershowitz or Former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan in our time. Observance of ritual is beside the point. Over the centuries, allegiance to the Oral Traditions is credited with having preserved the purity of the Judaic race and that’s what counts:
‘You who declare the teachings and ordinances of our sages to be foolish inventions, pray tell us what would have become of Judaism and the Jews if they had not, through the institutions of the Talmudic sages, thrown a protecting fence around their religion, so as to safeguard it for the coming days? Would they have continued to exist for 1800 years and have resisted the influence of the Christian and Mohammedan civilization? Would they not long ago have disappeared as a nation from the face of the earth…?’”[1]
The fact that Hess admits that the “institutions of the Talmudic sages” were “inventions” (or the mere “commandments of men” as Christ put it—Mt 15:9) is bad enough. To him, the value of these rabbinic doctrines is not in their purported spiritual truth, but their utilitarian political value as a religion ethnic Jews can rally around, whether they, like him, believe it, practice it or not.
The 19th Century Sure Wasn’t the 18th
One could forgive Hess for being merely a victim of the 19th Century and its obsessions with race, racial “science,” racial “hygiene,” Social Darwinism, and all the other trendy issues of the time that caused the world to shudder once the Nazi mentality played itself out. But that would be to greatly understate who this man was.
Hess went far beyond normal speculations about such specious subjects. He was rather, a true supremacist—“an extreme Jewish racist” as Hebrew University professor Israel Shahak put it. In his 1837 work, The Holy History of Mankind, “Hess advocated an occult, Talmudic two-tiered hierarchy of Adamic man (humans, i.e., “Jews”), contrasted with subhuman creatures, the Nephilim [Gentiles]. ‘This tradition,’ observes Hess, ‘leads toward a higher and clearer consciousness.’”[2]
Higher and clearer indeed. Disregarding the centuries of abject ignorance the rabbinic-run shetls imposed on the Jewish people, Hess preferred to romanticize their history:
“…one thing is firmly established, namely, that the spirit which at the time of the restoration [the return from Babylon] inspired the Sopherim and the sages of the Great Synagogue, was freer, holier and more patriotic, than the spirit which inspired Moses and the Prophets.”[3]
What is “firmly established” in such a statement is the usual hot air bombast and philosophical muddle that is rabbinic logic. Hess here has the audacity to suggest that “the spirit which inspired Moses and the Prophets,” which the Bible clearly states was God Himself speaking to Moses, and that “face to face” (Ex 33:11; Num 12:8), was somehow of an inferior nature, revelation, or understanding by the leaders of that time, take your pick.
The true spirit was actually “the Jewish genius,” the “legislative genius,” the “religious genius of the Jews,” the “creative genius of the Jewish nation,” etc., as manifesting through the “freer, holier and more patriotic” rabbis. These sopherim [sages] had the “courage” you see, to recognize the Biblical era for what it was—the Jewish people in their spiritual infancy:
“The law of the universe is the law of generation and development, or to use a better-known expression, ‘the law of progress’…thanks to the religious genius of the Jews…continually manifested…in various forms: first in prophetic utterances [the Biblical era], then in mysticism [the end of the classical Judaism era with the dominance of the Kaballah, 1550-1750], and finally in philosophical speculation—the human spirit was constantly brought nearer to the recognition of this law.”[4]
This Is the Prince of Peace (Isa 9:6)?
This third era to come, that period of “philosophical speculation” will eventuate in the “Messianic age” when the Jews rule over the Gentiles according to the “light” of the Talmud or whatever new truths the “Jewish genius” might care to evolve at that time. But what he regarded as the kickoff of that era is a real eye-opener:
“The Messianic era is the present age, which…finally came into historical existence with the great French Revolution…[through which] the third and last stage of development of humanity began…”[5]
Yes, that’s right. The “great French Revolution,” that mindless bloodbath conceived and managed by the Illuminati as we saw in the chapter on “The New Atlantis,” is the beneficent, messianic incarnation of the “third and last stage” of “human development” that we can all take hope in.
“The French Revolution was the beginning of the violent stage of the Judaic revenge. Hess set Communism in motion partly as ritual revenge on the goyim: ‘…you modern nations have denied these indefatigable workers and industrious merchants civil rights. What persecutions! What tears! What blood you children of Israel have shed in the last 1800 years! But you sons of Judea, in spite of all suffering are still here!…You have escaped destruction in your long dispersion, in spite of the terrible tax you have paid during eighteen centuries of persecution. But what is left of your nation is mighty enough to rebuild the gates of Jerusalem. This is your mission.’”[6]
A Two-Stage Plan
Was Hess aware of the Rothschildian/Illuminati connection to France? I don’t know. We do know that his plan to get his people to this dubious modern era Promised Land was by means of a two-staged and clearly revolutionary plan. The first stage, Communism, would be a means of depriving the Gentiles of their property and suppressing their religious and cultural heritages; the second, Zionism, a means of organizing the Jewish people into a political state through which they could rule the world. As Michael Hoffman so succinctly put it:
“For Hess, the cardinal sin of the Judaic people was to abandon their heritage, while the cardinal objective of his Communism was to persuade all other people to abandon theirs…
Communism was the means for achieving Judaic supremacy over the gentiles. The gentiles were fated to be reduced to a faceless, deracinated mass. Capitalism was also capable of producing this effect, through free trade and the unfettered financialization of society, in which the management of money becomes a vast business in itself, and where the highest virtue, after obeisance to Judaism, is profit.”[7]
With the fall of Communism, lo, these 20 years now, we see that the second option of an unfettered capitalism sits front and center on the world stage. To the outside viewing world, Mikhael Gorbachev’s decision to bring glasnost (“openness”) to a totalitarian society like the Soviet Union was his fateful mistake and the cause of its collapse. From an inside perspective, Gorbachev may or may not have been the pawn of a bigger plan.
I cannot give you a definitive answer on this. At the very least, the success of Hess’ stretch-of-a-hope that Communism would just fall off the world stage to make way for the second booster stage of Zionism seems like more than coincidence to me. Perhaps powerful movers and shakers behind the world scene eventually did indeed sign off on his plan.
All Glory To The Dialectic
One of the worst legacies Hess left to the world was not just his Communism and its hellish record, but the epistemological paradigm he promoted to get it off the ground. Communism as a utopian, classless social ideal existed previously in the writings of Baboeuf, St. Simon and Fourier, but only as wishful thinking. It was Hess who “super-charged” it into an “inexorable,” inevitable process through use of the Hegelian dialectic.
This dialectic is an intellectual process whereby any established reality or truth, when challenged, must needs “evolve” into a synthesis of the two. Of course, no such “evolution” takes place; all that happens epistemologically is that words and their meaning are endlessly degraded and destroyed while ontologically, reality is engineered to the liking of those most powerful and clever.
It can be applied for instance, by using Communism on the left and unregulated, runaway capitalism (leading to fascism) on the right, to pressure democracy in the middle into one extreme or the other. Or in another application, the execution of a terrorist attack (thesis), can create the desired antithesis (a frightened public), creating a synthesis (the surrender of more rights and the growth of state control). In this way masters of the dialectic can endlessly manipulate the masses into whatever direction they want. “Through deception thou shalt wage war.”
This manipulation of truth and circumstances is a reflection of what happens when men become their own gods. God’s truth like God Himself, is unchangeable. He is the ultimate arbiter of all truth, and (rational) man’s only option is to discover it, accept it, and conform to it. When men assume there is no grand authority to judge between them, then truth becomes a matter of mere opinion, and subject to revision by whoever might be clever enough, aggressive enough, or deceitful enough to con those around them.[8]
And oh, was Moses Hess clever enough:
Hess, the advocate of atheism for the goyim, was a great admirer of the most extreme, gentile-hating Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic rabbis, including the hyper-racist doctrines contained in the Tanya: ‘The great good which will result from a combination of Hasidism with the national [Communist/Zionist] movement is almost incalculable.’”[9]
Great good indeed. This may be one extreme sect but no less favored, given that delegations of Hassidim are routinely received at the White House. President George W. Bush on April 15, 2008 for instance, received one that came to revere their dead messiah Grand Rabbi Menachem Schneerson (whom they expect to rise from the dead), signing an “Education Day” proclamation so that Gentiles can be “educated” about what’s about to fall on them.
Fighting The White Whale

The sect’s founder, Rabbi Shneur Zalman (1745-1813) was the author of the highly-slanderous Tanya. According to a May 4, 1992 article in The New Republic:
“[Zalman] taught that there is a difference of essence between the souls of Jews and the souls of gentiles, that only in the Jewish soul does there reside a spark of divine vitality… Moreover, this characterization of gentiles as being inherently evil, as being spiritually as well as biologically inferior to Jews, has not in any way been revised in later Habad writing.”
All these secret sentiments and agenda did not stop Hess from shamelessly selling his Gentile audiences on another message— “The age of race dominance is at an end…along with the cessation of race antagonism…”; “in our deepest feelings we are convinced of the essential equality of all men,” yada, yada, yada.
“Hess had absolutely no intention of having his own Judaic people fall for the spiel about the Communist reform of humanity…[He] upheld bedrock Talmudic principles of fidelity to race and nation for Judaics, while selling the goyim a utopian dream, if they would only have enough ‘love’ in their hearts to ‘reform’ and let go of their allegiances to faith and family.”[10]
Karl Marx, who called Hess “my Communist rabbi” and was a long-time friend, was thus mentored in an ideology Hess masterminded. While Marx came from generations of rabbis himself, placing him with his superficial reputation for being anti-semitic up front on the face of Communism has served to obscure Hess’s role behind it, a long-standing Talmudic tactic.
Bakunin remarked that Marx “attracts whether in London or France, but especially in Germany, a whole heap of Yids,” and it was true that Bolshevism drew in a lot of Jews, heavily represented in the state security apparatus especially. The first law passed after the Bolsheviks seized power was to make anti-semitism a capital crime no less, and executable on the spot—a curious thing for an ideology supposedly so dedicated to atheism and the abolition of all “religious superstitions.”[11]
The Transition to Zionism
“Hess’s Rome and Jerusalem, The Last National Question went unnoticed in his time, along with the rest of his writings. Most German Jews were bent on assimilation and did not heed Hess’ unfashionable warnings. His work did not stimulate any political activity or discussion. Hess’s contribution, like Leon Pinkser’s Autoemancipation, became important only in retrospect, as the Zionist movement began to crystallize and to generate an audience in the late nineteenth century. When Theodore Herzl first read Rome and Jerusalem he wrote about Hess that “since Spinoza jewry had no bigger thinker than this forgotten Moses Hess” and that he would not have written Der Judenstaat (The Jewish State) if he had known Rome and Jerusalem beforehand. Vladimir Ze’ev Jabotinsky honored Hess in The Jewish Legion in World War as one of those people that made the Balfour declaration possible, together with Herzl, Rothschild and Pinsker.”[12]
Well, he obviously made quite an impression on them. On October 9, 1961, the Histadrut Labor Federation, “one of the most powerful institutions in the state of Israel,”[13] transferred Hess’ remains from Cologne to a kibbutz on the Sea of Galilee. I am not sure if this was something of an endorsement of a man this controversial, but if so, this may be another example of what Dr. Shahak said about how the outside world does not understand the mindset inside Israel.
In the world of secret societies and secretive religions such as Talmudic Judaism, it is true that not everything is planned out in detail years before developments begin. Events evolve in time and ideas are borrowed and adopted that are useful to the overall agenda. At the least, a certain atmosphere is set wherein developments can incubate. That old saying, “birds of a feather flock together,” certainly is true in these kinds of circles, and ideas travel fast.
I have no evidence that Moses Hess had any contact with the Rothschilds and their Illuminati world, that he was financed by them, etc. It is intriguing that Hess was made editor of a masonic newspaper in 1841, bankrolled by wealthy Rhineland businessmen, and it was there where he first met Marx. It is also interesting how his vision for a Zionist state was already being worked on before the Soviet disaster even got started.
Unsurprisingly, the ubiquitous Rothschilds are central to this story as well…

[8] This is a lot of the process we see taking place in Washington in our time. The cynical and adept Republicans are masters at it, who are accustomed now to go into negotiations with demands so far off the chart as to take the breath away. The ever clueless Democrats are caught flat-footed and whimpering to negotiate for only “half the ransom money” or some such equivalent, to keep the crazy Republicans from blowing up the economy, the society, the world, whatever. Expecting a principled stance on behalf of absolute right or wrong from the Democrats may never be seen again. All such God-oriented truths have been long ago obliterated.
