Trump the Gargoyle. Apparently even a 14th Century cathedral architect prophesied of his coming as well
by Don Clasen

“Non-Christians in the United States view evangelical Christians somewhat more kindly than prostitutes but with less affection than lesbians and lawyers. That’s according to new data released by the Barna Research Group, which recently conducted a national telephone poll of adults who do not consider themselves Christians…”
-“Evangelicals’ Image Unfavorable, Poll Says,” Religion News, Dec. 18, 2002. (What do you imagine it is now? – I Pe 2:12)
With the likely confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh onto the Supreme Court, chosen by Trump because he apparently believes a sitting President should be able to literally shoot someone in broad daylight on Fifth Avenue and get away with it,[i] it’s pretty clear to me Donald Trump won’t be stopped now. The Democrats may be able to impeach him after the next election but it’s the Senate that must convict and remove him. Thus I am convinced the way has been cleared for him to go on to become the infamous Antichrist of the last days prophecies[ii].
The official title found in Revelation is “The Beast” (Rev 13,17), a word that couldn’t describe better the nature of this man. Just the multiple references in Daniel 7 to the “little horn” with the big mouth alone (8,11,20,25) who will “magnify himself in his heart” (8:25) have haunted me for the last two years.
In recent years I’ve focused on the secular angle and written about his criminal past, his training by the infamous mob boss Roy Cohn, his ties to Russia and Israel, the Illuminati and the Khazarian Mafia, how Israel stole the election on his behalf, the transformation of the Republican Party into a Trumpian cult and the like. In this article I want to focus some more on American Evangelicals and their part in making this pathetic farce possible.
One thing that has mystified the mainstream news media is the virulent nature of this man’s rock solid base. It seems no matter what he does, no matter what he says, no matter how many shocking things come out about him, nothing seems to shake his core support. According to polls, 75% of white Evangelicals are right behind him to the point where, as John Boehner has put it, there is no Republican Party anymore but rather the Trump Party.[iii] The question is, Why?
One reason I haven’t paid much attention to the Evangelicals is that I didn’t realize how big a factor they played in his rise and in molding his mind. I assumed they were just manipulated tools as usual, knee-jerk Republican voters and not primary movers and shakers, and so did not pay much attention to them.
The other reason is that it’s so emotionally painful for me to follow their antics. Since my conversion in 1974, I have had a front row seat to witness the decay of the Christian religion right before my very eyes. I’ve watched helplessly as Christianity has become more and more absurd with the passing of each year. Every day it seems, I wake up ashamed to be a Christian, an American, white and male, and pretty much in that order.
Like the Apostle Paul I have continual sorrow in my heart about this (Ro 9:2) yet unlike him, I have a hard time sympathizing with my fellow religionists. As I’ve said, Donald Trump represents to me one big huge test for the American Church especially (I Pe 4:7), and God couldn’t have made it any easier. And yet we are failing it spectacularly. The “godless infidels” that America’s right wing fanatics love to hate have more discernment about this man than those who claim to know the truth ever could.
Making It Personal
In 1984 I was surprised at how specifically and powerfully God made it clear He wanted me to move to Tulsa, Oklahoma, of all places. This was right after the high spiritual aspiration of spending two years overseas and being offered an opportunity to become an official missionary with the Assemblies of God. It was all quite a letdown. Tulsa was the home of the red hot Word of Faith movement that was taking over so much of the Charismatic Movement at the time. I had no love lost for their rank heresies but I consented and went to see what I would find.
After several years of listening to their mangled interpretations and watching one preacher after another blow into town giving out some “new revelation” or “word” they got, each trying to outdo the last one at subverting the truth of the ages, I found myself pretty exhausted and even more exasperated. Friends to get me through it were few and far between. One of them was a local candidate for the Presbyterian ministry who confessed to me one day his abiding faith in the “Atomic Power of Negative Thinking.” My kind of guy.

Take that Satan!
I remember one night standing in my kitchen and complaining to God about why He didn’t “Do more to stop it?” For what it’s worth, I felt this thought well up from deep within me, something to the effect of, “Son, they have a judgment coming that they know not of.” Though I didn’t understand it at the time, I can see now that what He was referring to was nothing less than the sudden bursting on the world of the last days apostasy of II Thessalonians 2:3.[4]
One of the most central concepts in Word of Faith thinking is naturally, that of “faith.” In the Bible, faith like everything else is a quality of relationship with God—being led by the Spirit, trusting Him for final outcomes and the like. This was way too passive for these people who redefined it as a metaphysical power or force you can impose upon the world around you through your words, never doubting “the Word” (i.e., their perverse theology).
Another was the idea of the authority of the believer, that Jesus Christ had now nullified Satan’s supposed legal monopoly over the earth, thus restoring “dominion” for the believer, a “revelation” even the Apostle Paul would you believe, somehow missed. Coupling these two ideas together, you had the crude beginnings of Dominionist logic, that if the Body of Christ would “just believe,” every “stronghold” of the enemy would have to fall and literally nothing would be impossible to them. I assumed this would include the conquest of the whole earth, although the idea that this crew would one day join up with Moral Majority types, Catholics and all those they never tired of referring to as “the religious” was a bit hard to visualize.
What this looks like in our time is amply illustrated by the spirit and understanding of one of the President’s foremost “spiritual advisors”:
A Different City Didn’t Help
After eight bone-crunching years there, in desperation I moved to Kansas City, the home of the Kansas City Prophets church. I could tell from their early history that God had called these people together and assumed it was so they could become a voice of much-needed prophetic discernment in the Body of Christ. I also assumed that it would mostly take the form of people brainstorming over the last day prophecies of the Bible, prophecies that were complex, mysterious and the source of a lot of bad reputation for Christians in the past. Bible prophecy was the subject that converted me in the first place and I always wondered why so few people were “into” it, while the ones that were assumed way more than they should about what they thought they understood, (myself included of course).
After a few years there I could tell that what little study of Biblical prophecy they had was limited to a few obscure passages and not to the “meat and potatoes.” At the same time, they put way too much emphasis on subjective experiences—dreams, visions, “angelic visitations,” etc., and of course the ever-ubiquitous, “God spoke to me...”
Furthermore their idea of a “prophetic church” apparently was one quite taken up with personal prophecies (with a few people truly gifted in this area.) But what really got me was the obsession with unity! Of all the principles at odds with the need of the hour for a clear trumpet voice and line in the sand, ecumenical sentiments were the exact wrong direction to look!
By 2000 I left there too, now really in despair and not knowing where to turn to for companions, “marvelous” or otherwise.[5] Coming to the conclusion that the United States was the Great Babylon of Revelation in 2004 helped move my understanding forward and eventuated in my book American Babylon, American Antichrist. In it I show how one of the problems in the Church world is that they see the United States and Israel as the two Exceptional Nations joined together in the last days holding back the barbaric hordes of darkness on the earth. My book’s thesis is that it’s the exact opposite, that these are the two great rogue states both of which are nearly destroyed by God and the rest of the world by the time of the Second Coming.[6]
The point of all this is that after all those decades, I had such a belly full of “Charismania” with all its “words,” dreams, visions and subjectivity, that for my own sanity I needed to come out from under its disorienting, soupy influence. With the shock of Donald Trump’s election and how this factor not only put him in power but has been shaping him ever since, I’ve come to realize how much I need to do some catching up.
The Deadly Mix of Politics and Religious Subjectivity
The Church world’s cult-like faith in Donald Trump is the result of their knee-jerk commitment to right wing politics, weaponized now with the power of subjective “prophecies,” using the Old Testament language of war and vengeance no less, to stir up radical “passion for Jesus.” What could go wrong here? Yet much of the New Testament is dedicated to illustrating what the Apostle Paul noted about his own people, that though they had a “zeal for God,” it was “not according to knowledge” (Ro 10:2). Yet this was not due to mere ignorance. Because they “refused to know” Him (Jer 4:22; 9:3), they brought upon themselves “the wrath of God to the uttermost” (I Thess 2:15,16).
There’s also a lot of hero worship involved, projected on to someone who’s been anything but a hero all his life, who manipulates the Church and is in turn manipulated by them into their own wish fulfillment fantasies. This same dynamic of “use/be used by” is also going on in the Church’s relationship with Israel who actually put Donald Trump into office. This “miraculous” (i.e., thrown) election they interpret of course as “the Lord’s hand upon” him. Everyone is familiar with the unintentional comedy in it all while hoping the flip side potential for deadly danger is never realized.
Unfortunately it will be, because God’s hand is on Donald Trump—for destruction and not for blessing! He is the Judgment of God upon America and Israel, the two self-appointed Exceptional nations doing so much to keep the world from some modicum of international law and the knowledge of God.
This of course is near blasphemy in the minds of America’s Christians, who regularly assume we’re the “apple of God’s eye” because we for example, send more missionaries out into the nations than any other. Fine, but to what degree are they promoting or associated with the beast empire of Daniel 7:7,19 at the same time? How many American mission agencies have simultaneously worked with or been a front for the CIA, betraying (unintentionally or otherwise) the very people they were sent to evangelize?[7] How many CIA agents are impersonating missionaries while working to topple targeted governments?

Pastor Andrew Brunson, detained in Turkey has a suspected Deep State dual role at best.
When I was visiting Ukraine, an American approached me on the street with a near-literal “40 lb. Bible” in hand, claiming to be a missionary. His nosey questions started to arouse my suspicions so I decided to mention a few Bible facts even a casual church goer would be familiar with. He clearly knew next to nothing about the Bible, this “missionary” I encountered.
I know Jay Sekulow loves to demagogue the plight of both types when they get detained in order to further the Israeli/US deep state agenda. The National Association of Evangelicals has acknowledged the problem of past CIA collaboration.[8] At what point does God say “Your virtues America, have become vices; you’re a Tower of Confusion to the world”?
The CIA Rewards Us
As far as the Trump hysteria is concerned, let’s establish something right away. I’ve already posted a lot of articles on this site about the problem with right wing politics and I don’t want to go over all that again. This is about the Church angle, but I will note that Evangelicals have been the dupes of a decades-long CIA/Mossad psy op designed to get them to despise the very thought of “liberals,” even moderate ones like Hillary, Bill, Obama, Soros, etc. who are always painted as hiding in the woodwork plotting to take over the country for the UN or the New World Order and bring in a European-based Antichrist. Thus America is destined to “fade off the world stage,” but with Donald Trump there’s hope we can turn this thing around!
Not this way. Not by being convinced it’s the Lord’s work and the Lord’s work alone to be obsessed with abortion, same-sex marriage and packing the Supreme Court with not just conservatives but corporatists who want to bring us back to an oligarchy worse than that of the Tories (Ja 5:1-6). God’s problem with mankind is not limited to the sins of the left. If you think rabid devotion to any political party will solve the problem of sexual immorality in the world today, you need to read “The American Elites and Pedophilia,” by S.R. Shearer.
You “Originalists,” how purist do you want to get about the Constitution? I hate to burst your bubble, but the Founders’ “original intent” was a society where 1% of the population got to vote (white male landowners) and Senators were appointed. The Koch Brothers almost have enough states on board, thanks to Evangelical zealots delivering them all into Republican hands to draw up a “new” Constitution and a country where a handful of Tories will own and run everything. All in the name of “conserving” the American Revolution, and because you are convinced that God is going to destroy the country if you “lose the Court”!
Political Amateurs
These same people have been predicting we’re going to be smoked just like Sodom and Gomorrah for 40-50 years now. Has it happened yet? Well it will under Donald Trump, God’s very own “Chaos Candidate” who’s been showing his zeal for destroying the country for no good reason already.[9]
Why is anyone’s guess, given how hard it is to get into the head of this strange and tormented soul. I think it’s because he’s just such a vindictive personality who loves to frustrate people at times, to express his contempt for “losers” like the ones who fall for his cons, or because he is a willing tool of the Illuminati as I assumed from the start. Or perhaps he’s simply working for a foreign power to destroy the US or bring it to its knees (Israel or Russia or both). Even if he’s trying to learn, the Presidency is no time or place for it, least of all with a rabid, deceived group of religious loonies seeking to mold him into being their Sir Galahad.

The Israeli Mikdash Educational Center minted a coin showing Trump and King Cyrus side by side, making you wonder about the origin of the “Cyrus” prophecy.
The political angle is no doubt a very complex one and I’m not suggesting all of Trump’s ideas are worthless. For example, in spite of the horrible border scandal this summer (which may indicate White House involvement with pedophile/child kidnapping networks), immigration is something of a problem, just not here. Most of it is located in Europe which is suffering great cultural crisis brought on by the American/Israeli campaign to turn the Muslim world into failed states. This we are trying to blame on Syria, Russia, Iran—anyone, to shift the blame and hide the perfidy. The Church world’s dabbling into politics leaves them like lambs among wolves within a hellscape of deceit and dark intrigues.
Ach! Just A Little Bit More Setup
I really didn’t want to get into this angle any further but since I brought it up, I should probably address two related terms Trump’s base are flailing over and that’s the Deep State and The Swamp.
I take the Swamp to refer mostly to the infamous lobbying system that has Washington swimming in a cesspool of money and corruption. And of all those lobbies, there is none more powerful or swampy than the Israeli Lobby. But since of course this is the one nation Evangelicals virtually worship, even more so than the Jesus the Pharisee State so roundly despises, they happily ignore that.
But those Israelis sure love that Christian Zionist political support. All Donald Trump represents is this part of the Swamp, the deepest and murkiest of all, even while claiming to drain it. If actions don’t speak louder than words, then don’t bother to actually watch what he’s doing. I think the latest thing was the Best Negotiator Ever closing down the Palestinian mission in Washington. Rewarding Benjamin Netanyahu for decades of pretending to be for a two state solution and now admitting he never was, is of course “the right thing to do.”
To his base, “the Swamp” can refer to anything they don’t like, even petty things, and always about Democrats. But that’s my definition.
As for the Deep State, I take it to refer to the entire apparatus of covert government that was erected with the National Security Act of 1947 that created the CIA. This Talmud-y /secret society-based paradigm is based on the lie that this was necessary to protect the open government the Founders built. Allowed to operate in the dark with impunity, they quickly went from an intelligence gathering entity (already a dicey idea; you know, spying on others in their own countries?), to every aspect of an organized crime profile you could want.
Ever since the Agency’s right wing assassinated Kennedy who wanted to rein in their world of secrecy,[10] we’ve been living in an ever-growing atmosphere of lies, deceit and creating false realities. Those who admired Kennedy (e.g., the Clintons) were caricatured as being the biggest, most powerful kingpins of them all while the real powers have always had a natural DNA with the Republican Party, and it’s really showing now.
Evangelicals, like most right wingers informed just enough by the Alex Jones types and their exposes of the “Deep State,” know for instance that the FBI has a long history of using dirty tricks, framing dimwits, starting extremist groups, etc. to burnish their terror-fighting credentials with the public. Thus when the FBI turned on Golden Boy, they just knew that this seething nest of left-wingers (Mueller, Comey, Rosenstein, Sessions, etc) was evidence of a concerted plot to shut their guy down.
Fighting and exposing these “Deep Staters” is the theme of the “Q Anon” psy op. “Q” is supposedly some high-level official who is working with Trump to clean out these subversives connected to Clinton-Obama, et.al. He does it by staying anonymous and leaves breadcrumbs (yes, that spook world term is actually used) for followers to follow up on (be led around by the nose). All they get however is a Kabbalistic labyrinth pushing all the right buttons (i.e., supposed insider information to feed all your biases and channel all your anger).
I didn’t have to dig too deep to notice that one of the “guest” postings was someone claiming to be JFK Jr., would you believe?! His story was that he had faked his own death in order to work underground with true patriots so they could one day clean out those who had murdered his father. And who might that truest of true patriots be? Here’s the not-so-subtle hint “JFK, Jr” left in that posting.

Until then I wasn’t too convinced that Trump was smart enough to be a part of the Q thing himself, but then I remembered his long history of impersonating people such as “John Barron” and other aliases who would call up New York media and dish on some of the latest gossip about the Party Meister’s cavortings (and sometimes to manipulate his own financial situations, etc).[11]
Q Anon strikes me as a mockery of these gullible “true believers,” a true psy op run probably by the Israeli military or the Satanist/Dominionist wing of the Pentagon, similar to whoever originally chummed the term “tea-bagger” out on the waters.[12] Nothing in this ridiculous era would surprise me.
Finally! Release The Prophets!
There’s such a wide cast of characters out there now in this runaway train of devotion to the hope for a Sir Galahad that I’ll try to limit this to a couple of originating sources. It seems this all may have begun with some vague prophecies by Kim Clement as far back as Feb. 10, 2007. Clement said during a meeting that there would be coming “a praying president, not a religious one. For I will fool the people, says the Lord. I will fool the people…” Fool the people?
Yes, I can see why God would do that and for the reasons given at the beginning. I can also tell you for what it’s worth that by the Spirit I too have seen Trump praying a lot, but in the sense of being terribly confused by all the adulation and expectations people are laying on him. This just feeds his enormous ego and tempts him to try to play global savior when he needs to get out of politics, and spend time getting his own soul right with God. This is but another tragic angle of this dance Church people are playing with him. Being master manipulators who think they’re actually spiritual leaders, it comes so naturally to them they’re hardly even aware of it (II Tim 3:13).
However innocently Clement may have started out with this, in time he seemed to mix in his own human understanding. By 2014 he was calling Trump, “My David, which I have set aside for this nation.” Gag. About the last person this man resembles is the one who was called “the man after God’s own heart.”
For Those of You “On Fire For The Lord”
The other and perhaps most central person in this phenomenon is former fire fighter Mark Taylor. If the details of this guy’s story don’t set off five alarm bells in you, I don’t know what will. It’s a textbook study of someone naive at best about the treacherous nature of the spiritual world, if not an outright victim of an angel of light.
Just for starters after he got his initial word from the Lord about Trump, he realized he:
“was no longer simply Mark Taylor” but also “Shakina Kami,” a name that supposedly translates from a combination of “African” and “Indian” languages into “Beautiful One Whose Desires Are Fulfilled, and in Whose Life the Lord Dwells with the Divine Wind of Providence.” [But of course.] The rest of the book is devoted to revealing Taylor’s visions about how Trump is the “chosen one” who will unite the “Army of God.”[13]
Taylor has said his Trump journey began in 2006 when he had an out of body experience. He saw himself writing on the floor with light coming out of his hand, with a cloud in front of him and one to his side. He says he felt such petrifying fear that he woke up in the fetal position and couldn’t open his eyes for 15 minutes. When he did, the clock said 1:33 AM.
He then went to a “certified dream interpreter” trained by John Paul Jackson (an associate of the Kansas City group) who told him the first cloud was God, the other an angel assigned to him because he was being called to write “something important” of course.
That was the setup. On April 28, 2011 while watching a Fox News interview of Trump, Taylor claims God spoke to him and said, “You’re listening to the voice of a President.” At that he went into a room and began writing down “what the Holy Spirit was telling me, pen in hand…just like the Apostle Paul.” Yeah, either that or “Ouija Board style.”
Among it was that Donald Trump would “bring honor, respect and restoration to America” and that he would assemble “America’s Dream Team.” Gag squared. Just as a reality check, would you like a couple of refreshers on just how this restoration, this Dream Team has done in a short year and a half? Try, “With This Cast Of Characters, No Wonder Trump’s White House Is A Toxic Mess” by Richard North Patterson or, “What Will Donald Trump Be Remembered For?” by Tom Englehardt.
“Hearing of” Tribunals
Taylor exhorts all who will listen the same way so many others in Charismania do today, in the language of outsized hyperbole and violence. An example is, Trump will “mete out ‘God’s justice’ against members of the Obama administration, in special tribunals that he likened to the Nuremberg Trials”! [14] That’s right. The Obama administration is on the same level with Nazi atrocities!
“What I am actually hearing is that these tribunals will make Nuremberg look like a cake walk because this corruption goes so deep and it goes worldwide because the Clinton Foundation goes worldwide,” Taylor said. “I think it’s going to be on an international level.”
This “corruption” he is “hearing of” is anchored in the Clinton Foundation and its possible “pay to play” allegations that may involve millions of dollars, equivalent of course to the trillions of dollars of banker and mob money that actually runs this world. He also claims with typical right wing bigotry that most of the high-level pedophila and Satanism is concentrated in the Clintons, don’t you know?[15] While this is a problem, it goes way higher, started way before them, and is far more common in conservative circles.
Apparently one of the “investigative journalists” that helpfully feeds him all these lurid theories is Liz Crokin who conveniently enough can never seem to find anybody but Democrats behind it all. Crokin provides a unique service for the public by investigating for us the avalanche of breadcrumbs Q Anon keeps leaving so as to ensure we end up in the Kafkaesque mental asylum they are intended to “lead us” to. These include the perennial promise, “Next week, the arrests will begin.” Arrests of whom? Why, Robert Mueller, the Clintons, the Obamas, Soros, et.al. of course. We’ve been waiting for “next week” since at least last November. (The worst of it all is I think they really are planning such things!)
This has real world consequences when the riled-up faithful pick up their pitchforks and prepare to act, such as when a guy went armed into a pizza parlor to “liberate” Hillary’s child sex slaves,[16] or the one who blocked traffic at the Hoover Dam demanding the release of an Inspector General report. (He had already released it). [17] This is to train these citizen militia types to be loaded for bear to arrest “liberals” of all stripes (i.e., anyone who knows too much, like yours truly.)
A Cast of Real Characters
In the past Crokin worked for David Pecker’s sleazy tabloid the National Enquirer (he’s now cooperating with Mueller) and she interned briefly at a Bush-Cheney White House that was in the middle of developing private phony media organizations among an array of tactics against the press. It was also an administration notorious for male prostitutes including “Jeff Gannon” impersonating a reporter.[18]

White House “reporter” Jeff Gannon, nee James Dale Guckert, his day job for the world-famous “Talon News.” He regularly made eyeballs roll among the White House press corps for his softballs to Bush and Fleischer.

His night job as a male prostitute and suspected gay lover of George W. Bush at the time.
Bottom line, why would these people think this guy is the one to clean it all up?
Especially when he’s an accused pedophile himself?

With a young Ivanka. You’re trying to tell me the two parrots humping in front of them is an accident? For a control freak like him?
As for Crokin, I would like to know if she like Gannon is a little kinky herself, as in “transsexual” or “cross dresser”?

Liz Crokin

A “she” or a “he”? Just asking.
Mark Taylor Goes Viral!
Like so many others, Taylor too is “raising up an Army of God” (who isn’t?), but if blood and fury and releasing the rapists and murderers of Erik Prince on the world are not your thing, he’s got plenty of ditz to go around too. He claims Kabbalah-like that since Trump won the election exactly 2021 days after he got his prophecy, that this meant he would get a second term.[19] He also explains how he didn’t understand the significance of 1:33 AM (does it always have to have a significance?) until he “realized it referred to Numbers 1:33,” indicating he was “of the tribe of Ephraim.” Oh, ok.
Does ditz attract more ditz? Mary Colbert, co-author of Taylor’s book The Trump Prophecies says when she read his prophecy:
“I saw the Father’s rhythm…a frequency, because God has His own frequency…” [A New Ager couldn’t have put it any better.] CBN’s Wendy Griffith: “Mary knew that if the prophecy were to come true, it would take a lot of prayer.” Mary Colbert: “I began getting the prophecy in the hands of major leaders across the country, the Body of Christ, people that I knew were influencers within their church…”[20]
Cue a still of Ken and Gloria Copeland, just the tip of the iceberg of her idea of “major leaders.” Mrs. Colbert and her husband are now on Trump’s Evangelical Advisory Board reporting directly to the Secretary of Ditz, Kelly Ann Conway.
The CBN audience knew from Griffith’s words exactly what the takeaway from all this was supposed to be–(“This is something we should all be praying for.”) This is what passes for a “move of the Spirit” in the Church world today. A “big influencer” approves of an idea or in this case, picks up on a plan for judgment insisting it’s actually a blessing, others jump on board the bandwagon, and the true believers follow like lemmings. I’ve seen it happen over and over and over again.
And if manipulation isn’t effective enough, there’s always good old-fashioned intimidation. Just consider Mary’s blood-chilling threats in the following clip:
It’s all such a self-inflicted wound that even the Zionists hardly need to plant or water such seeds—even though they are—but that’s for another day.
Update, Oct. 30, 2020
Leave it to JuiceMedia, a “sharp-as-a-tack” Australian group to explain so succinctly exactly what QAnon is. (Please note: Donald Trump isn’t smart enough to run something this sophisticated, though it shows me who is—Israeli intelligence. At least that’s my best educated guess.)
No wait! Maybe Republican spooks are craven and brazen enough to do this on their own after all! Or maybe they coordinate together. Who knows? (God).
Notes:
[1] Among the top handful of candidates Trump was considering, he picked Kavanaugh because of his extreme views on a President’s right to be immune from prosecution over any crime while in office, no matter what. Contrast that with an incident in 1866 when President Ulysses S. Grant was arrested for speeding around Washington in his buggy. He was taken to the station and forced to pay a $15 fine before he was allowed to return to the White House. This is what passes for “original intent/strict constructionism” among right wing hacks like Kavanaugh who worship modern (Republican) Presidents as if they were emperors. http://mentalfloss.com/article/65855/cop-who-gave-ulysses-s-grant-speeding-ticket
