According to my incredulous detractors, one of the most far-fetched of all the things I propose in my book American Babylon, Israeli Antichrist is the thesis that the Antichrist will not just be Jewish, but an Israeli leader that seeks to ascend to power over the United States under extraordinary circumstances (i.e., a staged terror attack or more likely, provoking World War III). This rise is cryptically described in Daniel 7:24 as a foreign king, “diverse” from the ten others who put him in power, and who steps on three of them who get in his way. You can’t get much more “diverse” than a foreign ruler brought in to “save Judeo-Christian civilization.”
In my post of Feb. 23rd entitled “Boehner (Yawn) Invites Antichrist to Address Congress,” I put into the mouth of Mr. Netanyahu, “This is not about Iran…it’s about my ascent to power over America.” I meant it as a joke, but as the “truth that is stranger than fiction” nature of our times so often shows, there may be others who see its irony or who, God forbid, may even like the idea! For lo and behold, now that Bibi’s three-ring Congressional Speech Circus has left town, the Jewish Journal of March 27 comes up with the cover above. It’s a quote from poly sci prof Raphael Sonenshein who also serves as an editor. It reads, “The Most Revered Republican Leader Since Ronald Reagan” and features a campaign button to the right saying “Bibi 2016” with an American flag in the background!
My God, there’s times I even impress myself!
Now I’m not accusing the professor nor the LA-based Journal which claims to be the “largest Jewish weekly outside of New York” of necessarily endorsing the idea. Like I said yesterday, “organized” Jewry loves to “talk up” things they want to orchestrate. I don’t know one way or the other what they’re thinking here but that’s not the point anyway. The point is that when such things happen I sometimes take it as a sign from God. As it was with Time’s “King Bibi” cover, I see such things as a token that He is at work in our world to use people and institutions to give us all a heads up.

Beyond that I cannot tell you of the emotions that this deadly-accurate quote provokes in me, not the least of which is the complete dunderhead mentality of your average Republican. Ronald Reagan was such an airhead, such an empty suit, a man who did more to destroy the delicate social bond that kept American society at least somewhat equitable, including the rapidly-fading twilight of the New Deal that I grew up a happy beneficiary of. One of the first things he did as President was his attack upon the air traffic controllers, symbolic of the social and economic carnage to come. For more on what I’m talking about here, just look up that great book by Will Bunch, Tear Down This Myth. You can search for it on Amazon directly or if you’re feeling particularly masochistic, you can type in “Ronald Reagan” and make your way through hundreds of items of saccharine right wing slavering over the man, or at least what they think he represented.
But I digress. That’s right, this is all about Bibi and the jumping bean sychophants of Congress hailing him as the Second Coming of Ronaldus Magnus. The sight of a party that has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of a gambling casino mobster who launders his filthy lucre through our government, now directing their slavering toward a foreign head of state while publicly humiliating their own Chief Executive must be a new low even for the Whore of Babylon (Rev 17:5).
